This is why standing against this kind of censorship is necessary, because artist intent doesn't matter at all.
These platforms can decide to label anything and everything as a breech of TOS. It starts with NSFW but it doesn't end there, this is what the slippery slope is.

Y'all what the hell, my patreon just got suspended cause I appealed the removal of an artwork from TWO YEARS ago!!
It was an Angel/Demon piece that apparently reads as noncon and like, It Was NOT Intended as such. 95% of my NSFW work is SO vanilla and they lose their shit over some twink blasphemy 😭

and really, I do not believe that everyone needs to "get weirder now," or that everyone needs to "make more nsfw," etc. what I do believe, however, is that everyone should look to those already making that work and sit in dialogue with them. support their work, substantiate their humanity.

The thing they don’t understand about drawing NSFW is that it’s a roleplay with yourself. It’s an expression of your ideas and fantasies, made entirely by you, in a way that can’t hurt anybody. Needing the characters to consent is ludicrous: I’m the artist and *I* consent. I’m the only participant.
