I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

This is a story about how America’s world-leading cancer and dementia research system was destroyed by frauds and naifs who broke the law.

There must be consequences.
Some incredible details in this piece
*one DOGE faction was planning the future of the US government at a venture capital firm
*illegally communicating on Signal to avoid transparency laws was deeply embedded into organizational culture to be taken for granted

They misidentified the intern. The judge told them they had misidentified the intern. But instead of double checking, they took that as an affront to their authority. So they surrounded the judge's car and threatened to smash the windows to get to the intern.

They had misidentified the intern.
The part where they threatened to break a judge’s car windows should be a bigger story … they feel comfortable treating judges this way, which means they are being told that they can do literally anything to nearly everyone

It’s absolutely crazy that the White House decided back in February that it gets to choose who makes up the press pool each day and everybody just decided to go along with that.

This country is such a fucking joke.
White House has picked very pro-Trump pool reporters for Trump's Oval Office meeting with Mamdani on Friday: TV is Fox and Newsmax; Print is Washington Times and The Telegraph; New Media is Megyn Kelly. Exception is Radio: AURN (whose Black, female correspondent Trump called obnoxious in September)

In 2016 when Bobby Knight endorsed Trump I wrote a piece about how every dirtbag, scumbag, and douchebag was behind him; attracting the world's worst human beings was a key part of his vibe. But like everything, in his second term it's gotten so much worse.
NEW: The White House intervened on behalf of accused sex trafficker Andrew Tate during a federal investigation.

“It was so offensive to what we’re all here to do, to uphold the law and protect the American people,” one official involved said.
The White House Intervened on Behalf of Accused Sex Trafficker Andrew Tate During a Federal Investigation
Federal authorities were chided for seizing electronic devices from Tate and his brother, and told to return them, records and interviews show. Experts said the intervention was highly inappropriate.

The pardons were never about justice. They’ve always been, like all things Trump, transactional. Trump wants the insurrectionists need to believe he’s their leader and protector.
Once wasn’t enough. Trump pardons a J6 rioter for a SECOND time.

This is so so disturbing. Trump is now pardoning January 6th rioters for unrelated crimes, just to reward them for their violence to keep him in power.

The Republican Party is in the full time business of endorsing and incentivizing political violence. So scary.

Pardon the Corruption
Trump’s blanket pardons for stop-the-steal illegality aren’t only about settling scores from past elections. They’re about laying the groundwork to subvert future ones.

In this case the person in question has regular appointments to have their head examined
With a “WOW!,” President Trump posts a claim about DOGE and “royalties linked to Obamacare” that originated on a satirical website. That site’s own About section reads: “Everything on this website is fiction… If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined.”

This is definitely one of those things that people would’ve called you hysterical for predicting a year ago.

Trump is going to destroy the East Room of the White House without even asking Congress and build a ballroom with funds from private companies that are seeking favors? Settle down, lib.
