I saw this pop-up and, ya know, Austin is kinda right here. The PS4 -is- probably the best deal in gaming right now. The library is huge, it's cheap and consoles are plentiful. PS4 physical games are in that 'nobody wants 'em' phase where they're mostly super cheap!

@dark1x.bsky.social I had a thought that Sony was probably originally targeting 2028 for PS6 but might push it to 2029 for the likelihood of US tariffs being reversed by then, allowing them to launch at a more reasonable price in the US and therefore be more successful. What do you think?

There is a phenomenal sci-fi series I finished yesterday that only has 3 seaons and a total of 20 25-minute episodes, but that cast still had some time to breathe! The series is called WondLa.

The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.

#TheLifeOfAShowgirl is a masterpiece. It's the first Taylor Swift album I've heard since 1989 where I've instantly loved every song on the first listen. Reputation got close, but everything after that (aside from the TVs) required multiple listens on about half or more of the songs. Instant classic!

@dachsjaeger.bsky.social do you know why motion blur doesn't seem to be working in RDR2 for me? Here's an example where they are riding horses quickly from the left of the screen to the right, and I see no motion blur at all, despite the setting being turned on and capping to 30fps.
