This guy man. This guy. He should be President. This guy gets it. Everything he does is cool and fun and for the people. I'm old as shit and I've seen politicians come and go, famous Presidents, Mayors, Governors, reps, Senators. This guy and Obama have more charisma than I've ever seen in the game.
Everyone in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau. Last week, the Mayor stopped by to officiate a few of those ceremonies.

Thank you to all the couples who shared their joy with us. Happy Valentine's Day, New York.

the Republicans are not ready or mentally capable of comprehending the backlash they have generated
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

A newly unsealed FBI interview shows an entire Deutsche Bank staff team internally tried to cut ties with Jeffrey Epstein in 2015, after seeing wires to young women. One compliance officer says she was later pushed out and fired after raising the issue. Management kept the accounts open.

Chat is a smart idea to continually piss off federal judges, some of the most petty people on the face of the earth?
hi, judge expert here, judges only do this when they're in extreme distress!

Big if true.

(This outcome is obvious and predictable)
San Diego rents fall 5.5%—proof that building housing works.

Add 6,000 apartments, prices drop.

This eases pressure on voucher programs, helps low-income renters, makes the city more accessible.

Want sustained affordability? Keep building.

‘Rental market is largely frozen’: San Diego rent prices fall in national rankings
National rents are down 2% annually but Zumper said Southern California is seeing more of a slowdown because of increased supply.

I really like this essay because it’s explicit that the neighborhood envisioned by people like Simonoff is truly dystopian. They lack a vision of anything that doesn’t involve racialized anxiety and fear, and that’s what they are trying to sell us.
“It’s an auspicious coincidence that Sunday’s Super Bowl offered a counterargument to Ring’s dystopian vision in the form of Bad Bunny’s halftime spectacle, which featured the ‘La Casita’ concept that made his recent Las Vegas residency so critically acclaimed”

Individually they were all great artists, but together, they were titans that bent the history of music; the hip-hop equivalent of the Beatles
This pops up every once in awhile and I always share it. Wu Tang goes in and out of popularity with the times, but there's no denying there was a Dream Team level of talent and brilliance on that roster. True artists.
