I'm pretty sure this is an AI-generated logo. If you look at the other versions of it on their website, every single bird is slightly different (the feet, the head, the bag).

I mean, this sucks, no?
A screenshot of the Sackbird website that says "seek the sack" (horrible) followed by four images of a black bird with a bindle and a human arm. there are minor variations in the art - some birds have bigger heads, or more fingers, or flatter feet.

a single plane with a depth fade material w opacity multiplied by a custom clouds texture w some bump offset for depth. cheapest ground fog known to man, or anyone else for that matter.
looking a the ground in a cave, there is a subtle amount of fog across the ground. same cave, showing the fog is a plane same cave from a different angle

i have plenty of criticisms of Kingdom Hearts 3 but

the Demon Tide is one of those names i WISH i could come up with

it's so good. it's both super descriptive of what it is (a literal wave of Heartless slamming against you and everything around you as it attacks) and amazingly evocative

found an addon some time back for region based color correction and this is the sorta stuff i would like to see expanded on in game engines. if i could isolate certain lights to only affect bounds like these it would be a raytracing-free interior lighting game changer for mee

The dominant conversation surrounding the release of Late Night With the Devil wasn't the movie's creative successes but the dipshit decision to use AI on a few titlecards lots of artists would have been ecstatic to draw, but sure, audiences don't care, Jason.

Jason Blum says Hollywood should 'embrace AI' and viewers 'don't care if what they’re looking at is AI"

"it’s here to stay. It’s very important to use it ethically and legally, and for studios and guilds to protect the copyright of the artists"

the first one is a big one

used to be that websites could have the pull and interest in going "hey this looks neat, let's do an interview or some writing on it"

but (the majority of) modern influencer-only gaming media chases things that are already massive and searched or recommended online

“Why isn’t anyone covering our indie games?”

1. The gaming press has been decimated by business suits, and the whims of an uncaring search engine behemoth
2. Doing the job means you get death threats and harassment
3. There are more games released in 1 week than there were in entire months in 2015

As well as this, I feel quite strongly that the increased prominence in recent years of social media influencers who engage in nothing but ragebait content and harassment has proverbially sucked all the air out of the room, content mills producing bullshit at speed who dominate gaming conversations.

There's fucking yaoi art on a train by my house I'm fucking losing my mind, this rules so much
Anime styled graffiti art on a train car depicting a male demon looking seductively at another man while saying "That's a good boy", with the phrase "kiss yr homies goodnight" in the bottom left corner.
Artist seems to be "Akira BPD"

The Orphan Crusher is here to stay. If we don’t feed more Orphans to the Crusher the Orphan Crushing industry will die. It’s time to wake up to the reality of the Orphan Crusher. The Orphan Crusher is worth billions. We need to teach people to use the Orphan Crusher. It’s here to stay.

Extra funny when you think about how Sinners, which features Michael B. Jordan gunning down Klansmen in broad daylight in slow-mo, is the 10th highest-grossing R-rated film of all time - higher than The Hangover, 300, Logan, John Wick 4, etc....

that's the other thing i keep thinking about

"well even if the bubble pops we still have to deal with a normal amount of AI, whatever that means"

okay but AI requires massive infrastructural and energy consumption investments. can it even be sustained "normally" outside of a bubble economy?

So it baffles the mind that industry pros keep saying "Oh well, there'll always be a little left in the fringes that the odd person will use"
From where I sit that is a physical and financial impossibility

it's worth remembering that these people are acting. they aren't firebrand conservatives who are just too enraged for keeping things PC, they write down their insults and meltdowns. it's theater, it's a performance, it's a constructed reality

it's an influencerocracy
