Over 40 years ago, in my first job, learning my dad was Italian, one of my colleagues sneered "Oh, what does he do? Drive ice-cream van or is he is waiter?". It did give me some pleasure to reply "well he *was* a waiter when he first came but he studied hard and is now a research scientist"

Ask yourself, how long would Keir Starmers premiership, or political career last, if this was "his" history?
Then ask why the media still use every opportunity to promote this vile human Farage, as our next PM...

As for Farage’s use of racist slurs being confined to his childhood - well, that's not what Alan Sked, the founder of UKIP, claimed in this 2014 interview.

He says here that Farage was using the "n" word as late as 1997.

Farage would have been about 33 at time.

Budget day at last. The leaks, speculation and scaremongering seems off the scale this year. There will be some ok stuff, there will be some shit stuff and there will be stuff that unravels before it even gets off the ground and the rw media will attack Reeves with more than a hint of misogyny.

New: Three new ex-pupils come forward, on the record, to say Farage's racism as a teenager was targeted, persistent and nasty. Farage has denied targeting any individuals - but two of the men tell us they recall Farage abusing Peter Ettedgui.

I've only really just processed this because i'm thinking about it now, but it took until my early 20s to be properly proud of my heritage. And that was because I had moved to east London and worked for a charity which embraced and welcomed diversity.

I am just a few years younger than Farage and went to the local comp. My family stood out because we were 'darker' (Italian), we had a funny surname, ate different food and Dad used to sing opera very loudly in the bathroom, shattering the peace in our quiet very English suburb.

The only reason Gill stopped being the Reform UK leader in Wales was because he failed to win a seat in the 2021 Senedd election.

Zia Yusuf keeps trying to make this sound like this is ancient history, and Reform washed their hands of him, but nothing is further from the truth.

1. How did your gf buy you a house?
2. How much has Russia paid you?
3. Is Putin still your fav Leader?
4. Are you really selling black shirts?
5. Are 20 people at your old school right about your racism and antisemitism?
6. Ever been to Clacton?

This isn't ancient history either. Farage used the term "globalist" to describe Grant Shapps just three years ago.

These are age-old antisemitic terms, and they tap into racist right-wing conspiracy theories about a one world government.

There's no excuse.
