The word solstice is from the Latin for Sun and to pause or stand still..The morning frost on the road has melted away only where the sunlight was able to reach the ground. But it remains in the areas persistently shadowed by the fence, tattooing in frost an image of the fence on the asphalt surface

Michele Singer Reiner the photographer who photographed Trump for the cover of the Art of the Deal.

And this is what he wrote! POS
Still in a state of shock trying to process the tragic loss of one of the most gifted men in the entertainment industry & his wife when the Embarrassment-in-Chief disgraces common human decency with this repulsive, deranged statement.

In my relocation considerations list Australia zoomed to top of the list …
Just want to share with my American friends how the Australians respond to a shooting tragedy. Action, rather than thoughts and prayers.

Agree
I trust Netflix a HELL of a lot more than I trust Larry Ellison.

And so should you.
Netflix laid out the rationale for acquiring Warner Bros, saying the deal is: "pro-consumer, pro-innovation, pro-worker, pro-creator, and pro-growth."

Elections equal Democracy
Once fair elections are gone, the only way to regain democracy will be war, either an underground insurgency or full blown armed warfare. I see no other alternative. The founders understood the price paid for freedom, too bad most Americans forgot.

Among studio talents, Rob Reiner may well have been the best director never nominated for Best Director. Film critic Peter Debruge sings his praises.

We suck
Instead of responding only with thoughts and prayers, Australia will respond with laws and regulations. Because, unlike the United States, it values the lives of its citizens over any sick adulation of firearms.

The 1996 Port Arthur massacre led to immediate, sweeping, bipartisan gun law reforms.

Greedy bastards
Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

As it turns out, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun *isn’t* a good guy with a gun—it can be a good guy *without* a gun. Just another NRA lie.

Whoa … this is really strange.

Federal law enforcement managed to confiscate almost two tons of cocaine, and arrest 3 suspects, without blowing the boat out of the water or killing anyone.

Today we remember the thousands of Americans who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor 84 years ago. Nearly half of those lost were aboard the USS Arizona, and I remember what a moving experience it was when Gabby and I visited the memorial. We’ll never forget their sacrifice.

Actions speak louder than words
Reject any and every lie of this regime that they are fighting the drug trade. Their boss pardons a drug kingpin who helped bring 400 tons of cocaine into the U.S.

Not funny
What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Yes, be a broken record.
If you don’t, you will feel guilty.
This is the story tonight. Every Dem who was in that room should be telling us what they saw.
Himes: "What I saw in that room was one of the most troubling things I've seen in my time in public service ... any American who sees the video that I saw will see the US military attacking shipwrecked sailors."

So thankful he is able to explain it from his point of view
Pastor Black: While I was in the middle of using the words of Jesus, they opened fire on me. It was so clear that they had been so poorly trained, or — the alternative — that they had been deliberately told to escalate violence against peaceful protesters.

Such a disappointment
A corrupt president pardons a corrupt member of Congress for corrupt reasons. With multiple guilty pleas establishing a bribery-laundering scheme, Hakeem Jeffries still called the case “thin” and sought cover in a bribery-plagued Supreme Court.

A lesson in squandering potential inroads with voters.
