Do those VHS/DVD covers for the original Corman Little Shop of Horrors make anyone else here crack up from just how much they exaggerate Jack Nicholson’s starring in it?

You would think he was the star, but he just has a bit part in it.

Dunno, always made me chuckle a little.

A scan of the front cover of a 1989 or so VHS release of the 1960 Roger Cornan film “The Little Shop of Horrors.” The box (rather misleadingly) makes a huge deal out of it being Jack Nicholson’s first role on film (it wasn’t)—having him front and center in a tux holding Audrey Jr.

It was that combined with similar thoughts to yours about covering up (by way of masks in my mind) or just changing shape

I always half joke I wish masks were as normal a piece of fashion as anything else so I could just always wear one

But it is indeed a time and space sink, best not to take on projects that can’t be seen through

Gibson really is just kinda shooting themselves in the foot playing it safe to appease that crowd

It’s no wonder you don’t really see them around as much anymore, on top of them pricing themselves out of the market

That’s what gets me about Gibson now. They’re just completely beholden to the 50s/60s spec fanboys that in all likelihood never even take the thing out of the case

I know everyone loves to hate that era but honestly I think that’s when their coolest stuff came out.

The Ripper? The RD? The L6S? The Corvus?

Modern Gibson would never.
