Speaking ill of the dead is controversial, particularly when it was a violent death. It’s edgy; it’s sensitive; best avoided in most cases, etc.

Baselessly making another person’s murder *about yourself,* and then approving of it, is a different thing. That is delusional, narcissistic, sociopathic.

I really hate "decorum" framing because pretending everything is a 1:1 comparison is only beneficial to fascists. Rob Reiner was a guy who made some movies people like. Charlie Kirk was a putrid, hatemongering piece of garbage and the world is a better place without him in it. There is no comparison

I did not expect Rob Reiner’s death to be the thing that finally gave Republicans any sort of backbone to criticize Trump. But here we are…

Rob Reiner's first seven films: 1. Spinal Tap. 2. The Sure Thing. 3. Stand By Me. 4. THE PRINCESS BRIDE. 5. WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. 6. Misery 7. A Few Good Men. Good lord. Even Spielberg included 1941 in his first seven.

And that was after playing Michael Stivic. I hope this news isn't true. But...

Comedy: Jackass and The Big Lebowski. The former was a crowded theater every single person nearly pissing themselves from laughter. The latter was the same except there was only like 9 of us there.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

“Meat-heavy lifestyle.”
What actually causes a bad health outcome: red meat or something associated with a meat-heavy lifestyle?

It’s a hard question to answer, but there are clues that people who eat a lot of meat are very different from people who eat a little.
Column | Is red meat bad for you? Limited research robs us of a clear answer.
We’d all appreciate more definitive guidance. Eating a varied diet is a wise move while we wait.

The highway of death was destroying the military capability of an invading force in a foreign country during an unprovoked conflict during an armed retreat, which is notably different than a surrender. Destroying it damaged Iraq's ability to continue inflicting violence on its neighbor state Kuwait.
There's liberals in the comments below this who are defending not just the highway of death but also the US wars in Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, etc., and yet they still pretend they're the good guys

You barely even have to scratch them anymore
Yes you did. You vaporized an entire coumn of retreating troops in the Highway of Death massacre. You brutalized Koreans, Vietnamese, Laosians, Cambodians, Afghans, Libyan, Pakistanis...the list is pretty long. This is nothing new, it's a feature of US foreign policy.

1/ One thing that I think is getting understandably overlooked in the coverage of immigration overenforcement is just how wasteful and inefficient ICE is being even when they aren't kidnapping and caging people who should be with their families.

Here's a quick example from my casefiles today:
