It really is amazing to listen to a guy who faked bone spurs to avoid serving in the military denigrate combat veterans of our allies while also using “we” when referencing the historical sacrifices and bravery of our own soldiers.

Canadian babies aren't vaccinated against measles until they are 12 months old.

Given the increasing prevalence of measles, that's something to consider when taking your baby out in public.

It's also a good reason for the rest of us to wear a respirator--to protect babies against any infections.

The NY Times has published an investigation into the Therme development at Ontario Place. It found that while the company told the province it had a proven track record of operating six spas around the world, at the time it had only ever operated one. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/16/w...
European Spa Company Therme Misrepresented Itself in an Effort to Expand Into Canada
A Times investigation shows Therme, a European firm, exaggerated its track record in securing a deal with Ontario, and government auditors found that the process had been unfair and opaque.

Police officers in Ontario are being affected by the release of body cam footage of a tragic situation.

Please avoid armchair quarterbacking, or even forwarding this video. The Ottawa Citizen article fully describes its content; no one needs to see it.

Its public release is without value.

Here is my best guidance for action, rendered beautifully by the great John Lithgow. I first published these lessons more than eight years ago, in late 2016. They open the twenty chapters of "On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century."

I think the idea that department stores are dead in Canada is a little off the mark when I can walk into a Canadian Tire anywhere in the country and walk out with lawn fertilizer, a deep fryer, a bag of chips, house paint, wool socks, a cordless drill, and a coffee maker.

5) Humility. Admit what we don't know, backtrack when necessary, acknowledge errors. Yes, it will be used against you. But most people understand that managing a pandemic is complex and presents novel challenges. Better to admit limits and acknowledge mistakes than to stick with wrong answers.
