I’ve been trying to find ways to articulate my hatred of AI-generated music that won’t come across as snobbish, but most of what I have to say about it can be boiled down to this:
None of the artists I like in any genre, regardless of era, make music that can be accurately predicted by a computer.

I blame people's reliance on the mainstream a lot. Because most A.I. I have heard are merely stereotypes of certain genres. I still am not surprised that someone asked ChatGPT to make a free jazz song and it didn't get anywhere close to that.

If the black kids only knew how alone I wouldn't have felt in my community, if I knew one proud metalhead, punk or alternative kid in school. Unfortunately, that wasn't the mainstream, so I went and made friends outside of that...for a bit.
I really do not understand why we can’t be nuanced and admit that some Black people genuinely were rejected for being weird and that “weird” was often equivalent to “white.” 😵💫
