My viral video on the science of Deathcaps (Amanita phalloides). Unfortunately they are having quite a season here in California, however you can still safely forage for mushrooms if you know how to avoid these. For beginners, just stay away from Amanitas in general. #deathcap #toxicmushroom

I reject the Crockett electabiltiy arguments out of hand. For 30 years, TX Dems have run a non-offensive white guy who always gets beat by a car salesman who bought his wife from Belorussia and is diddling his daughters. Be open to something different. You can run a loudmouth.

Watching a movie made in Australia, 2012, The Sapphires. It's the 6th time I've seen the movie. The story is based on true life, set in 1968 Australia during the Vietnam war, where a quartet of singing sisters and cousins visit the troops to bring them a great selection of Motown hits. Recommend!

Tyrants are usually stupid, short sighted people, history has borne that out. The ones that lasted only lasted because they couldn't control information/rumours and that's even worse now for them.

One of the things to consider, this is a profoundly stupid regime. Their ATTEMPT to control info....

This is us 🇺🇸, a "hostile neofascist state", and I am horribly ashamed of it. #HoldFast #Resist
It doesn’t matter if 🇺🇸America’s F35 jets are better in some ways than the 🇸🇪Swedish Gripen fighters.
🇨🇦Canada should not be procuring arms from a now hostile neofascist state, nor should we be chasing after greater and greater military integration with it.

If a Democrat or Independent wants to win, they must build a platform that includes these items:

A public healthcare initiative that bypasses private insurers
A 21st C public education system K-16 (end all voucher programs)
Abolish ICE and rewrite immigration policies
Cut military industry...1/

I was talking to my friend about injustice the other day. He made the point that sometimes people intentionally go out of their way to not understand or remain ignorant. I’m realizing some Americans want to be ignorant of US foreign policy. Many don’t care about anyone but themselves.

The U.S. is mirroring a pattern that has happened in authoritarian regimes around the world. When a government erects barriers to reproductive care, it doesn’t just cause death and suffering for women and their families. Such policies are often a first step in the gradual decline of democracies.

The corruption is sickening, and right out in the open.

I thought I had seen it all in some sense in the 15 years I handled corporate fraud cases.

Nope. Staggering what this administration is doing. Just straight bribery (impeachable offense), corruption and grifting.

All of us suffer for it.
