To be clear: I’m not talking about disabilities. There are people who make it to the level of professional sports with missing limbs. Blind and deaf people can be successful musicians.
But if your able bodied kid can’t seem to dribble a basketball despite practicing for hours, let them down gently.

Tone deaf singer at your church? Gone.
Fanfic writer? Gone.

Help them find something they’re actually good at. Otherwise you end up w/ppl like Ben Shapiro who thinks he failed in Hollywood bc of “liberal bias” instead of just being told he can’t write worth a damn.

Unpopular Opinion:
AI exists because we refuse to tell people to accept obvious limitations. Not everyone can sing, write, draw, etc.

If we want to stop AI we need to be constructively critical of ppl who can’t sing, can’t write, can’t draw, etc.

You gotta be fucking kidding me.

I keep seeing people say, oh, trans people must take a hit for the greater good and, first of all, no, you don't get to discard someone else's rights and second, we know from past experience that marginalized communities like theirs are merely the first to be targeted. They'll come for you next.
