It’s cool the Republican position on the Epstein files went from Q stuff to “it turns out the real elite international pedophile ring was the friends we made along the way.”

WaPo editorial board when TX imposes a legislative gerrymander: don't freak out guys! Not a threat to democracy!

When VA responds to TX with *referendum* on their own gerrymander: brass-knuckled hypocrisy, anti-democratic gamesmanship.

There is hypocrisy here, all right, but not from VA.

Anyone have any examples of these guys actually going after “gang members” directly?
Remember that midnight raid in Chicago supposedly to arrest Tren del Aragua members? Newly revealed court docs show that the raid was facilitated by the building owners who are now accused of using the raid to evict tenants. DHS never mentions TDA in their filings: www.propublica.org/article/chic...

Indeed, it is perhaps surprising this has not been pointed out, but as far as I know, qualitative research is among the most replicable research areas in science. Or at least, all the replication studies I have seen are basically successful replications. It might not be 100%, but it is high!
Note that this in itself is a well-replicated finding. At least a dozen studies show that when researchers replicate qualitative research, or re-analyze it, they come to basically identical themes. There is nothing special about qualitative research with respect to replicability.
This is a great qualitative research paper. It sheds light on questionable research practices. But more importantly it demonstrates direct replications in qualitative research work as you would expect: independent teams reach basically the same conclusions royalsocietypublishing.org/rsos/article...

If there's one benefit from all the Republican criminality and corruption it's that you never have to treat them like good faith interlocutors again. Every currently living Trump accomplice should be treated at most to a reflexive "Eat Shit" for life, and that's better than they deserve

Trust me, I’m opposing the bad stuff just off camera.
Senator Katie Britt of Alabama stands fully behind President Trump in public, but at times seeks to wield influence behind the scenes, guided by her personal values as a mother and a Christian. Her approach faces an acute test as federal immigration agents pursue aggressive tactics in Minnesota.

Make them have to look like classic red British phone booths.
Among the City Council’s reasons for refusal were that Street Hubs “introduce a visually incongruous addition and an unacceptable amount of clutter to the street scene and public realm”. BT argues that by replacing payphone kiosks it would achieve “a significant net reduction of clutter”.

So with a bit of digging, it looks like this lawyer got plucked from a workman’s comp practice and attended a bottom quarter ranked law school which…doesn’t seem like your typical AUSA profile?
This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

Impeachment is the only Constitutional check Congress has against a lawless president and talking about it would be a good start to reasserting Congressional power in the future. Assuming of course Congress wants to do that
Speaking out like this is all they can do now. Impeachment is a total and complete joke, and threatening to use it is akin to threatening to hit someone with a wet noodle. Impeachment is no longer a viable tool to use against Republican politicians.

Well that and using those cudgels for power to grift or enrich specific people.
I have a generalised version of this - while there are specific exceptions, it just feels like a _huge_ proportion of the American conservative movement revealed themselves to not really care about anything? Like, nothing concrete at least. It's all just vague ressentiments around Gender and Race.
tiktok deal and subsequent rebirth, coupled with generalized revelations that most china hawks don’t care at all about trump undermining their supposedly all important great power competition…..is tremendously blackpilling for me.
