2. It's rare for any creative, including writers, to be able to live solely off their creative income. Moreover, there is no correlation between the creative value of art and the income status of its creator. It's okay to have another gig to eat and pay bills and survive our capitalist hellscape.

1. I see elsewhere on Bluesky that the discourse has turned toward telling writers not to be ashamed to admit they have day jobs or other sources of income (or spousal/family financial support), and you know what, that's 100% correct. Day jobs and support from loved ones are great if you have them!

NovNov Update! I had a goal of 30k, but I finished the last scene of my very (VERY) messy rough draft at 25k. I still need to fill in a bunch of small details next week (mostly names and a few descriptions), but AAHHH, it feels good to hit a milestone!

Jump Space (indie, episodic & perfect for small groups)
Titan Quest II (action RPG set in ancient Greece)
They scratch several game itches (co-op, progressive gameplay, sci-fi and fantasy), and I appreciate their different mechanics and aesthetics. ✨
