Nah, let’s be real here: detention. Steph met her fellow Gothamites in detention after she started complaining about how shooter drills were learned helplessness and a hostage’s first duty was to escape, followed by self-defence. And that the drills were worse than useless if the shooter was one of their classmates. They were like those nuclear fallout drills, except it cast the shooter as the atomic bomb so the drill was about making the people cowering feel better about doing something before they inevitably died.

Pondering reviewing the hotel I stayed in for the con. Is ‘I loved the bar staff who aren’t English as a first language speakers and were new hire, over the one white woman I met who was: competent at her job, not listening to the newbies, and thought I was a difficult customer; on top of having 1/2
