Proud Canadian! Queer supporting, semi-retired cis white leatherman living in Alberta with my partner of 10+years.
Who's next? It could be you.

The UCP only cares about things that line their pockets and get them the attention of their magrat chums from south of the border.

Honestly, invoking the Nothwithstanding clause should automatically result in an election being called and the legislature being disolved. This way at least the people can vote if they support a party using it. It's a very blunt tool. Thisi is wreckless. #Canada #cdnpoli #ableg #Alberta

Or, more likely, you don't give a rats ass about the rights of the people of the province while you cuddle up to the maga clowns to the south of us.
Use of the notwithstanding clause is a betrayal of the duty of a government to its people. If you can't enact your agenda without violating the rights of your citizens, you are either stupid and unimaginative or vicious and cruel.

NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

You think that the bs happening south of the border can't happen here? Think again.
The far right radicalization of young men is a serious issue. Fanning male rage was a big part of the MAGA movement and is part of the game plan on the Polievre Conservatives.
In my latest piece I discuss the toxic impacts on schools and democracy.

Young Men in the Hate-o-Sphere
Recently, CBC ran a story about how the Poilievre Conservatives are touring Canadian universities to build support among young men.

David King, former AB Minister of Education, hits the nail on the head! He captures my thoughts on the importance of a well functioning public school system in a democracy. The UCP is playing with fire 🔥 #ableg

Well stated. Peepee likes to run his yap, but he pretty much never has receipts. The RCMP Commisioner handled it perfectly.
1. A purrr-fect example of what a fucking weasel Pierre Poilièvre
is...

After claiming the RCMP covered up "Liberal corruption", the current Commissioner of the RCMP stated Pierre is always free to seek a meeting to gain clarity

I was a big fan of this album when it was originally released, but really hadn't listened to it for a while. Having rectified that issue, it still sounds great even after 40+ years. Pretty much a lock for my top 5.

Well, that last 16% of respondents are definitely "descriptive".....
To be fair, if I was slipping in the polls, had a face like a slapped arse and a voice like... well, like *that,* I'd prefer to communicate in strictly textual epistolary too.

The lady in the crowd is right, the comment is absolutely disgraceful. Our provincial government is an embarrassment on so many levels on a daily basis.
At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

It’s…

Telling.

Exactly this...
The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.
