This tells you that Vance thinks the MAGA base isn’t just full of diehard racists; he thinks it’s full of diehard racists who are also too cowardly to be openly racist if they think people might disapprove

“An American Nightmare”: Three Men Deported to CECOT and Their Families Reflect on Their Monthslong Ordeal
For months, Carmen, Lina and Doris awaited news about their loved ones, who were sent to a maximum-security Salvadoran prison by the Trump administration. Now that the families have been reunited, the...

Here in Delaware we have a statue of Thomas Garrett, a white man found guilty of obstructing the recapture of fugitives from slavery – ordered to pay damages to the point of ruin for it.

We don't, to my knowledge, have any statues celebrating the judges or jury members who found him guilty.

I want to get rid of Dem politicians who are in the Epstein files, whether or not they can be convicted of crimes. The GOP is protecting theirs, which is all we need to know.
I'll be disappointed in Dems in the Epstein files. Deeply sad and disappointed they chose to be scum. But I will not lift a finger to protect a single one. I don't care if it's my favorite pol ever, if they chose to be criminals they should go to jail. The end.

Now it's your turn, Republicans.

John Deere got this video taken off our YouTube for two weeks. It took our lawyers reaching out to YouTube to get it back up.

The video lays out how a handful of corporations took control of the agriculture industry, bankrupting farmers and screwing us all over.

I keep wanting to say something, and I keep not knowing what to say.

The trans community does not harm cis people by existing. They are just trying to live their lives, same as anyone else. That life doesn't look exactly like mine; my life doesn't match anyone else's. That's okay.

The Trump admin is going after subsistence rights of Alaska Natives, in part by lobbying from the safari group representing sport hunters. This is part of a larger move building against Native land rights in AK (re: mining, oil).

You don’t have to be Native or a resident of AK to leave a comment!
Alaska Natives depend on subsistence hunting for food & to retain cultural practices/knowledge of our land. We are worried a review of the Fed Subsistence Management would affect subsistence hunting. This blog includes how Natives want to contribute, links to submit comments, and a template letter.

This sounds like a great way to satisfy Trump supporters’ ambition to brutalize and kill people.

In true American fashion, one of the biggest things we learn about it was that US president Teddy Roosevelt won the Nobel peace prize for negotiating the peace treaty. I actually first learned this before history classes because of liking dinosaurs; there is a 1935 mural of it at the AMNH in NYC.

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

Yes, it’s so limited. I’m from a minority ethnic group in 🇳🇬 and I have to source books and papers to learn about what our traditional practices are. Even the local papers online have to be taken with a grain of salt due to bias and hearsay. Short of talking to an elder, I’ve got to do the 🤓 work.
One of the WORST things you could get AI to do for you would be anything historical. Even just with google, never mind AI, a lot of what the internet has on offer is inaccurate, incomplete, or nonexistent. You need a human who knows where to look to get and synthesize the good stuff.
"concept artists can experiment with AI to make their lives easi-"

wrong

I smack you with Claire Hummel's immaculate and detailed understanding of costume design, which she got by studying historical references, which made her strong, which you will not become by relying on AI
