I wanted to show off our regular route to school. I don’t feel like the protected bike lane is separated enough for my son to safely ride it but last winter the snow banks made it *just right* for a day. I’m hoping Milwaukee is able to create bike lanes that are safe for him year-round!

I spent a few days at Milwaukee’s @vargallery.bsky.social last week making a neon sign of the word “home”. This fits on a shelf my parents built out of leftover wood from the construction of their new neighborhood out of state, as a reminder of the people who are my home even if they aren’t here.

This is a great book! It was very difficult to track down a reasonably-price first edition this year, but now with the updates and additions it looks like I’ll need to pick up a second edition soon too.
