NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

The last smartphone I bought was 8 years ago. It still works. I switched to a flip phone last year and I'm hoping it will outlive me.

Disposable tech is a scam.
stupid young people, stop buying a new phone every year if you don't want to be broke. wait no, not like that.

'I'm sending a picture of you to the twitter servers so the AI can do a vulgar roast of you' sounds like a great way to get your ass kicked at a party.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

This means that probably *all* comics are worth millions now right? Right? I have a death of superman still in the plastic....
I wish I could find a secret stash of comics in an attic!

Discovered in an attic and preserved in excellent condition, a copy of Superman No. 1 sold for $9.12 million, including buyer's premium, at Heritage Auctions on Thursday, setting a new record for the highest price ever paid for a comic.

Something they teach in colleges for music that shocks most people-

The reason jazz actually came to be was that they needed an acceptable prestigious context for the saxophone to hit that really low note that sounds like a hilarious fart.
