Generative "AI" advocates point to their ability to produce (shit & lifeless) complex images to prove the system's utility. But what I see it most used for is to replace basic things - like stock photos or clip art. It's not about unleashing creativity, but minimizing base effort & curiosity.

Like, I think a lot of the hostility to UB would be way less, if not entirely gone, if it was more the "one lotr/ff big set and one who/40k small product per year" model than 4 out of the 7 tentpole sets.

I've said before that people shouldn't buy things that make them angry and been called a shill for it. It's a reaction you can only laugh at, but it's still someone yelling at you. Gamers work each other into rages over these things; it's not healthy for them and it's depressing for me, personally.
