A lot of recent adult romances are actually dramas with jokes and bright lights. They aren’t soft, romantic or horny enough. Heated Rivalry gets it right.
The success of HEATED RIVALRY blows apart two massive Hollywood myths, proving:

1) Gay intimacy on screen is NOT bad for business.

2) The Anti sex-scene discourse is horseshit. Audiences are horny and want horny things. 12 Year olds with anime pfp don't constitute a demographic worth catering to.

RIP to David Bellos whose book Is That a Fish in Your Ear?: Translation and the Meaning of Everything massively contributed to me wanting to become a literary translator. When I was writing my own book about translation, I kept in mind how funny and accessible his book was.

first book banners told us it was just about what was in schools
then they came for books in the public libraries
then they started getting book stores for carrying certain stock
now I'm hearing about little free libraries being shut down

also a reminder that Utah still has a book destruction law.
