I can see why that would be an issue. Batman absolutely takes a back seat. The city change hurts it, but one could argue that's progress or different regions of Gotham, but it's certainly not a visually interesting. How do you feel about the opening heist? For me it remains a really tight scene.

Dark Knight Rises was just a few good stunts. I can't begin to explain how bored I was with Interstellar and Inception. They were super popular and I jist did not get the appeal. I felt the same way when everyone was crazy for 300 and I just thought it was weird editing and no substance.

I still very much like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but it's clear on rewatched how much my love for the Dark Knight is really just a cool opening scene and the performances of Ledger, Caine, and a personal affinity for Michael Jai White, no matter how small the scene.

Fallen off = I'm going to be bold and say Christopher Nolan. I used to make his films appointment viewing, but I've barely been interested in anything post The Dark Knight. Man hasn't had a The Prestige in him since The Prestige and that's a shame.
