There was about a 15 game stretch when he came to OTT where he had an on-ice sh% of like 25%, where everything he touched turned to gold. He ended his time in Ottawa underwater on shots and chances 5v5 and was a train wreck in the playoffs. I hope he’s good too, because there’s a lot riding on him

Lmao — parents bought me a pair of those for what I remember as like $125 at the time and that was a splurge for “nice” skates since I was gonna play rep for the first time. Hockey economics are so fucked.

yeah, once you get the injured the way he has, it's just going to be such a challenge to stay healthy while playing NHL hockey. I hope things change for him, I really do, but it doesn't look good.

When my wife and I first moved in together we had a nearly devastating fight trying to build an IKEA bed and since then we’ve just agreed I will build everything by myself. The sinking feeling of pulling those instructions out of the box never goes away. Solidarity!

We used to go to a place on the Carleton campus called “Virtual Wave” because they had 20 computers in a big room all hooked up to a LAN and we could play X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and StarCraft on the network.
