The Lord is with you!
Even when you do a poo,
He is not ashamed of you.
But please understand
the wiping thereafter
is solely yours to do.

Saw what appeared to be a painting of a magpie on the ground, but on closer inspection it might just be some random dirt. Its eye is a ladybird that decided to sit there.

Awful. I have a smaller Raggedy Ann upstairs and she is a true and steadfast friend who got me through a hospital stay when I was but a 4yo. I will not see her noble Ragpeople villified by the Creepy Doll Enthusiast Demographic.
Raggedy Ann, the friendly and not at all creepy rag doll with stripey tights and red hair, and "I love you" tattooed on her butt. Okay, that last bit is creepy.

The wood is good for making skewers, spindles and artists' charcoal, says Wikipedia. Don't eat the fruits.

PlantNet says it is a European Spindletree (Euonymus europaeus L.)

Anyway: I'm not sure what this is, but it's cute! Not an entirely wasted adventure into the Brambly Wood
Some sorta bright pink flower on an as yet to be identified tree or shrub, with little orange berries emerging

(Alt text: many more nice apples obstructed by a wall of brambles as high as my head)

Look at that. completely, outrageously inaccessable. I should have come out a week ago, when there would have been more low hanging fruits for the benefit of a passing shortarse.

Well that was a lot of bramble stompin' for two small apples
The bramble stompin' ground to the apple tree from which I attempted a scrump Two small red apples. They can go in a tiny crumble, I guess.

I will need big boots and possibly a machete

I know a tree, and there are some apples left

Since we're all in the mood for taking the piss out of the Tories today, play @mattround.com's excellent game from years ago. It's fun.

Thing I just learned. “Lede” as in “bury the lede” is a deliberate misspelling of “lead”. It’s part of a lexicon of misspellings used for annotations by journalists and subs so that notes on copy are removed, rather than included in the body of the text by accident. Others include “dek” and “hed”.
