The women's cyclocross race of Lokeren attracted more viewers locally than the men's race.
The excuse that women's cycling wouldn't be so economically interesting for sponsors is again disproved.
Managers should just learn how to lobby better, because numbers are good

I was called aggressive for criticising passages in Kate Clanchy’s memoir. But the real problem lies deep in the overwhelmingly white world of publishing

Shops replacing Halloween decorations with Christmas decorations in windows are like "we're not doing this again this year"
If only, they went with "Anna and the Apocalypse " theme, they'd have both Halloween and Christmas covered

Have the CX X20 rules changed as I was under the understanding that if you finish over 5 minutes back, you are given the 5 minutes loss, the same as dnfs and non-starters
But Tnt Sports commentators are saying Michels lost more time in standings than if he dnfed?

Finished 'Spontaneous Acts' by Yoko Twada, translated by Susan Bernofsky.
Despite being short, it really felt like a heavier read, about a literary researcher in berlin on the work of Paul Celan.
Invited to give a lecture, he struggles with the question "what is your nationality?"

I had a great fall today, lost my balance when getting my scarves, gloves and hats out of storage.
Thankfully, it was broken by the empty boxes, bags, and such I fall onto.
once again, my hoarder tendencies pay off

I looked at the Your Party Scotland page, and it seems like they'd be happy coming 6th as long as it was the Scottish Greens in 7th.

I was talking to a colleague last friday tried to paraphrase something some one said referring to Stephen King's It and having just seen the ad for the new series, I realise i got the town wrong and called it Letterkenny instead of Derry.
I'm laughing at my error

Music Thoughts
The band Joseph are brilliant, and their music should be played more often.
I though also feel inclined to add "the band" in front of Joseph, which feels odd. Maybe it is to differentiate them from some guy with name Joseph

Reminded of a cinema usher who directed me right, instead of left to to the cinema screen in Savoy. Towards end of film, 4 people walk in . I think the usher got left/right confused again.
Tindr must be a nightmare for him, as he would always be matching with people he didn't like.

Real quick just want to remind everyone that Graham Linehan is a deranged bigot
Graham Linehan ruined his own life by walking down a path of hatred but forgetting to first become a billionaire writing beloved children’s books and THEN walking down a path of hatred
