Pick one or two things. Focus on those. And only those. There is only so much each person can do without losing their minds. And if you pick A and B, someone else will go all in on C and D. It's OK.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

UPDATE: OK, apparently it really was some genius kabuki theater on Schumer's part.

As @fascismheckler.bsky.social said, this was the easiest win the GOP could've gotten and they STILL said no.

This is Arafat-rejecting-2-state-solution-in-2000 level stupid.

The USDA is the fail safe for SNAP.

They have a contingency fund to ensure it’s covered in the event of a shutdown.

They’re refusing.

Grocery stores stepped up to try and help by offering discounts to any SNAP recipients and the USDA told them they had to stop.

Starvation as a policy choice.

What the actual f*ck?!?!?!

Also, not a high school, it's K-8. Parents did this. And nobody on, near, or in the school said a damn thing.
Evidently there was an Auschwitz-themed float in a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania.

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.

Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.
