Part of what’s happening, I think, is that the administration is trying to use the Minneapolis shooting to paper over internal dissent/dismay over Venezuela… which isn’t getting the unanimous anti immigrant, pro ICE reaction they wanted either (hence Vance and Leavitt screaming louder today).

You would think Trump - who has owned and still owns commercial space - would know the difficulties in filling city commercial space even now. Or at least get in on the burgeoning business of converting spaces to residential. He’s really that bad at business.
Business rent is way too high on Mag (not Miracle) Mile so companies are just shuffling around. H&M moved two blocks down the road to save cash.
He's blaming "murder and crime" in one of the safest parts of the city because the real problem is "landlords." Almost like that's the whole gambit.
