The hardest part about this whole piece was PROBABLY Lilligant. I'd never drawn one before so it was difficult to get the proportions of the flower on her head that way it was supposed to be, but I did it!

I caught Chad at the start of the game, named him Chad cause he's a punchy chad. Carl'a'Mel and Pina I caught around the same time. For whatever ungodly reason, I wasn't ever able to find a sunstone to evolve Pina until a few days ago. THEY WOULDN'T SHOW UP ON MY MAP LIKE EVER. And I wanted to draw Carl'a'Mel and Pina together once I could get them both evolved, and that happened, so I said ffs, let's draw my trainer in her Pokémon Scarlet attire with her Pokémon Sclaret Pokémon.

I once was told, "I wish you could have that much passion for a real job."
-when it came to my love for art.
And it really stung.
Especially to have them tell you, "Only you think that," when you try to explain to them how insanely rude and belittling that is to say to your own kid.

💛 Art is my passion and my life's work. And it is quite literally paying for my survival right now.
I wouldn't be able to draw this much and be able to survive without you "lot"ls.

-A "real job" (customer service) stresses me out so bad that my body literally can't handle it and shuts down.
Being bullied over art fucking HURTS MY FEELINGS, YEA, BUT AT LEAST I'M NOT DYING BECAUSE OF IT.
My art is MINE, I made it, NO ONE ELSE used these hands to create that doodle but ME.

-I felt a lot less anxious about my art and sharing it, and I began to love showing it off again. That was around the time I started getting into commission-work, and now it's literally keeping my alive.

-and it took a long time to get used to sharing my art publicly again, but when I realized that being bullied like that over art wasn't a standalone thing, and it's happened to multiple people (I really didn't know. I lived in a small town, and I didn't have access to the internet until I was 18.)-

-It got to a point where I would ONLY draw pictures for my teachers or family members, because I was so anxiety-ridden about giving my art to someone, that it would send me into a panic attack worrying about the cycle repeating itself, -

I've been bullied my entire life for my art. I've had people blackmail me in class to draw them pictures, or they'd write my name down for detention so I wouldn't get recess, I've had people in 4th-5th grade act friendly towards me to get me to draw for them, just to be told by another classmate-

And it is still, to this day, my very favorite Magical Girl anime. And it's gotten me through a lot. That one and K-ON are my little odd-ball jems that I absolutely can and will watch on repeat.
