I get that it's tempting to shout "no war but class war" but intersectionality is needed for lasting change. Seeing how the structures made to keep us down reinforce each another and trick us to go "not my fight" should make this obvious.

You really don't want to become like Will Shetterly.

The audience.
@straczynski.bsky.social So, I was rewatching Babylon 5 with my boyfriend, who is seeing it for the first time, and I realized.

Who would win in a smug-off between Bester and Morden?

I’m not arguing with no account defending AI. My grandmother lives in an area being environmentally compromised currently by an ai data center. I remember the color of the lake before they built it and the sludge I see in it when I go to see her. Shut the fuck up about “the benefits of AI” forever.

it is also true that horny old men are the dumbest fuckers on the planet
Over on X, the Everything App, serious conservative thinker Dinesh D'Souza shared a video of an AI-generated woman on a fake podcast he seemingly thought was real, telling the audience that young women should get with older men. Dude, wtf?

Made two campaign pitches set in the same setting and people went "I think I like the straightforwardness of the dragon hunt".

Followed by me throwing up a map. While the pitch was more straight forward, we'll have to see what the plot takes us.

Here is a thing:

There were several years when I was one of VERY few journalists seriously covering harassment and abuse issues in comics (and by extension sometimes video games). During that time, I became the Person People Told Things To.

Reposting these are one of those things that give me anxiety. But having crap economy also gives anxiety so I have to side on the lesser one.

Even the small things really help.

Red Ogre (@ogre.red) gets rights to your work upon *submission*.

And those rights are ridiculous. They can change your work, not credit you, use your work for advertising, or put it in an anthology.

Don't submit to this one, folks.

Just realised that since this is a software question, to preempt any annoying "well actually, you mean a..". Yes, I want a good feed reader that I can use on phone and desktop — so extensions are kinda out — that I can afford and minimal AI filtering.

In 2020 @totallydonna.kitrocha.com & I started a trilogy about 3 book nerds (w/ superpowers) who just want to build a library for their community but shitty tech bros suck so they have to keep doing crimes.

Tor was kind enough to put book one on sale for $5.99!

Having had severe depression, and still having anxiety and chronic pain, fuck me I wish for a tole of creativity where I don't have to struggle.

Creative struggle is fine but that gets so much harder when other things like health and money impact it. It's like trying to do tattoos in an earthquake.

Started the day nosing at ICE's MERPS, the first licensed Middle Earth ttrpg, and fascinated by its choices. Its first two new region supplements after launch are Umbar and Ardor. Neither of these two regions are on the map most folks likely know.

It's also set 1400 years before Lord of the Rings.

And this is not just a US thing but this fuck-over structure is all over.

Housing, school, health care, space for kids to just be will do a lot more than hire a busload of more cops per capita or harder punishments. Threat people like human and not serfs to abuse for gain.
We have enough evidence for UBI in general that this policy should be a given. But the difference is, to understand UBI works is to believe that people are fundamentally good. And a big chunk of society is built around the belief, *must maintain the belief* that people are fundamentally bad.
"By the end of the two-year period, 94% of participants reported they were housed."

A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends.

Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.

Honestly, would love some work.

Apart from regular art commissions in the quoted post, I also do mixed media/photo collage images/book covers.
Three for own projects and the forth is the first draft for a published cover (it went through some changes but this is my favourite version.)

What if Tom Waits' Bone Machine were a Sesame Street muppet.

(And I have to say I'm pro this and like the design of the eldritch Big Bird cousin.
I dint care what you say Garibaldo is still terrifying and if I saw that wide eyed dinosaur coming at me in the street I would scream bloody murder and run away throwing hands at everything that dares get into my immediate direction
