The first time Charlie Chaplin spoke onscreen, he implored the people of the world to resist the rising tide of fascism.

Nearly 90 years later, it remains a timely message.

OF COURSE Kate said, "I’m not that difficult to penetrate.” 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, that's the big takeaway I got from the article because my brain is mentally 12.

So much of what people loved about Star Trek came from Gene Coon and it was too often lost to some of the Roddenberry "visionary" myth-making.

The truth is that STAR TREK had many parents and that Coon brought a depth to Roddenberry's world that you'd miss if it wasn't there.
Today we remember Gene L. Coon, born on this day, a visionary writer and producer who helped define Star Trek.

He introduced the Klingons, expanded the Federation, and brought moral depth and wit to The Original Series, shaping the Trek universe we still love today.

Live long and prosper.

Babylon 5.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

This. It’s people using a program designed by other people to do exactly what it was designed to do. This kind of framing helps those people, all of them, avoid accountability.

Typically when the US embarks on an illegal or dubiously legal regime change we use noble words about democracy, rule of law, spreading freedom, etc. to justify our actions. Trump has not done that. He offers few noble words as eulogistic covering. It's a crass power & oil grab, according to Trump.

Well, I’ll be. I never noticed this until today.
If you're anything like my 11-year-old, you've probably noticed this special effects irregularity in one of the most iconic opening title sequences in TV history. But there's a good reason it happened. #StarTrek www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKut...
