I often wonder how big the actual 'single playthrough' games audience is these days, if you ignore the few big 'games as service' titles that make up most of the market and are often the only game their audience plays

I have long posited that Daniel Craig's accent in Glass Onion is better than Knives Out because in Knives Out he is trying to do a real Southern accent and is bad at it but in Glass Onion he is just talking like Foghorn Leghorn, which is something a real gay Southern weirdo would do.

While i generally adore Mohrta's art style, i want to mention something that's a major visual bugbear for me that even major titles are often guilty of: the base color of the distance fog should never be too far removed from the horizon color of the skybox

As someone who loves the murky old pre-capture software magazine game screenshots and vhs promo footage, playing around with color LUTs to change the vibe of a scene beyond sensible tweaks is a lot of fun

In Just Cause 2 boats have a little bit of rope hanging from the fin at the back, this has physics and moves slightly as you sail around.
For some reason you can grapple onto this rope, which the physics engine DOES NOT LIKE.

Guy Cihi, the voice actor for James Sunderland in Silent Hill 2, did not originally intend to audition for the part, rather he was there with his daughter auditioning for the part of Laura, however the devs asked him to do a few line reads after hearing him talk to her and ultimately hired him

The accessory port on the Wii's controllers used normal i2c for communication. They're all incredibly easy to use on any kind of arduino project.
Also, the firewire 6-pin connector design is directly based on the gameboy link cable.

If you started a multiplayer game in Turok 2, then used the “all levels” cheat, you’d be transported to the level of your choosing but somehow in a fake co-op mode. It was broken as all hell and you couldn’t complete the level, but it was neat to play an FPS co-op back on the N64.
