Welcome to the resistance, ignorant assholes! 🫡
New poll: In 2024, low-engagement voters went for Trump over Harris by 11 percentage points. But now they disapprove of the way he's handling the presidency by 13. They have moved 25 points against Trump — 2x as large as the shift for high-knowledge voters www.gelliottmorris.com/p/trump-lost...
Trump has lost the voters who weren’t paying attention in 2024
The least-engaged Americans have swung 25 points against him since 2024 — about twice the shift among everyone else. Trump has flattened the engagement gap.

Protection of trans rights is arguably the most forward-looking stance held by a plurality of mainstream Dems. This is easily provable and pundits who pretend otherwise have an agenda worth scrutinizing.
hasan, who is not trans or queer, saying that Dems would shoot every trans person in the head to win elections, is just straight up ratfucking, indefensible

My take on Fuentes is that he has a hard ceiling in terms of audience because he’s a deeply unlikeable little freak whose behavior normal society still filters out reasonably well, but prominent right wingers won’t fully renounce him as long as the left is so visibly (justifiably!) enraged by him.
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

Notably, AOC initially opposed forcing Biden out of the race in ‘24. I’ve assumed that was designed to prevent people from scapegoating the left if Harris didn’t pan out, but it also showed mainstream Dems she was willing to stand in the pocket when necessary.
campaigning for Peltola also underlines why AOC has a real shot where Bernie did not. She has made strong connections with colleagues with different ideological commitments. she's positioned herself as a loyal Democrat who can be counted on to fight for the party.

The people at Game Changer Entertainment have tapped into something extremely powerful and we should all be concerned.

Raskin laughing set her off. These people are desperate to be taken seriously and incapable of behaving in a way that makes that possible.
Bondi thinks this makes her look tough, but all its doing is demonstrating how completely rattled this admin is by the Epstein stuff
Rep. Nadler: "How many of Epstein's co-conspirators have you even indicted? How many perpetrators are you even investigating?"

Pam Bondi: "Your theatrics are ridiculous!…You don't tell me anything, you washed up loser lawyer!"

She looks so incredibly weak here.

We’re all going up against the same wall if we lose.
I wish very much that the liberals and leftists on this website would give up their narcissism of small differences, it’s very annoying

They’re not ready for how much worse this gets for them.
Watters: I was walking in my street, a car drives by and I give him a wave. He rolls down the window and says, “F U fascist.” He doesn’t know I’m a fascist!

Jessica: Yes, he does. You’re on TV.

“He added a tinge of dad humor whenever he was being a fucking asshole from the bench, so I think he’d be devastated to see how his life’s work manifested has MeeMaws from coast to coast calling for the heads of his ideological compatriots”
One of Antonin Scalia's kids allegedly said that she was relieved that her father died when he did, because he would be so "upset" at how "coarse" and "polarized" politics has become, which makes me wonder if Scalia's children have any idea who their dad was www.politico.com/news/magazin...

It would have been nearly impossible to predict the political 180 Hochul has pulled off in the last year, but Delgado threw in wayyyy to early to account for *any* curveball, let alone her resurgence.

“Legitimacy flows from the barrel of a gun” he says, while armed federal agents are backed down daily by Midwest soccer moms with whistles.
Legitimacy flows from the barrel of a gun. If the military accepts that they're taking orders from that Congress, then they're as legitimate as they need to be.

If we've gotten to that point, legitimacy no longer matters.

People upset about this should rest assured that Megyn goes to bed every night knowing in her bones that Donald Trump made it functionally impossible for her to do anything resembling serious journalism ever again, and that this schtick is her last, best hope of remaining relevant in any capacity.

We have not held the American right morally or intellectually accountable for their own actions or beliefs for 40 years and have spent that same amount of time trying in earnest to figure out why everything they do and say is our fault.
Living in this country, it’s just a reality that the left and liberals are expected to do more and uphold more. I don’t know how you can come away with any other conclusion than that when you flip the script on the above premise.

This is the story of a person who had never faced any meaningful challenge to her personal politics until her party violently forced them into the lives and homes of people who didn’t ask for them and don’t agree with them. But she’s the victim.

Shouldn’t be a hot take! Antisocial behavior can have outsized social costs. As a matter of pure risk mitigation, parents being incentivized to raise decent citizens is a good idea.
my surprisingly hot take that pisses off people you might not expect it to is that parents should be criminally liable for egregious failures to protect their children and provide at least some protection against exposure to obvious harms
It would require putting parents on the hook for their children's behavior. Which sounds good on paper. And in real life. In fact its awesome.

Streaming as a medium offers unfettered access to someone’s every waking thought. The format does not attract thoughtful people because they don’t have endless hours of credible ideas worth expressing. It incentivizes anyone who is willing to be wrong out loud all the time rather than stop talking.
Hasan is conventionally attractive and he looks right into the camera and tells the second-worst group of people in this country that he is the exact same kind of communist they are, and that's all there is to his popularity

dawg it is SO easy to get rich in America if you don't have any principles
once again an important thing to remember about hasan is that he is a tremendous moron, complete oaf, and the least shitty person from noted left-wing news outlet, the hitler youth

The New York Times cannot report that Donald Trump is a virulent, committed racist because that would require the tacit acknowledgement of evidence that he always has been and they’ve never particularly cared.
Have no fear, New York Times is ON IT.

The career psychopaths at the Office of Weights and Measures have been fucking me out of correctly apportioned deli ham for decades and it ends NOW
So, my liberal buds, my progressive pals: you know how you're beginning to realize that ICE (perhaps the whole of DHS?) is structured to allow abuses, riddled with career psychopaths, utterly beyond saving as an institution?

Now, consider, in the spirit of inquiry: the entire federal government

Repurposing ready-made organic communities for off-cycle outreach is both standard practice and a good idea. I don’t know why they announced it like this or why it took so long.
Apparently, the KamalaHQ accounts are rebranding as "Headquarters," a "new Gen-Z led progressive content hub."

If nothing else, it would be interesting to see how she’d campaign without Biden’s camp threatening to gut her infrastructure if she didn’t toe the line.
