If I were still teaching methods, I would use this article as an example of what Joey Sprague calls "studying down".

It's what ppl w/ power often do in storytelling: explain poverty & disadvantage.

Another approach would be to explain the kind of privilege that makes Loop residents live so long.

"I'm a man. I'm 40" will always be funny. I don't know if it's in the top 5 of funny sports pressers but it's up there 😂

"While other universities report that the humanities are shrinking, at Berkeley, the opposite is true. The music major is the fastest-growing major on campus. We are finding bigger classrooms because film is exploding. English is back to the numbers we saw 15 years ago. We are hiring" bit.ly/4ohKuOe

When African Americans tell you not to trust something it is because we have 100s of years of history to draw on. We are the only group of people who have made this country give up anything at all.

This happens to me every year. I go to Wegman's for a specific type of meat. Then I mistakenly think I can get everything on my list and then get pissed at myself for forgetting that Wegman's aisles always disappoint me.

They have Wagyu tallow but aint got pineapple chunks in syrup or oven bags 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

An astrological note about Erykah Badu and the Soulquarians. That story of working on Mama's Gun w/ them is often told like Badu is the outlier since her sun is in Pisces.

She actually has Mercury & the north node in Aquarius in the 3rd house. Literally an Aquarian voice and soul purpose.

A fun fact that I just learned that astounded me: an adult moose can grow to be taller than most NBA players (6'11), not counting its antlers.
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

Zodiac sign seasons don't begin and end on the same day every year. Depending on their birth time, someone born tomorrow can either be a Scorpio or a Sagittarius.

If a baby is born on 11/21/25 at 9am, their sun sign will be Scorpio. If a baby is born on that day at 9pm, they will be a Sagittarius.
