I was very surprised. One rep in my neighborhood flipped from a Chinese American democrat to a Chinese American republican. I think crime was the big issue because it’s been overblown in the right wing media.

I have worked a polling site where the majority of the voter’s were immigrant Chinese (Fujanese ) republicans. Like many Cubans, they equate the democrats with Communists.

Ms Rachel is both very likeable and profoundly annoying to adults at the same time but nobody can say that she doesn’t have depth of character. I think that she has been extremely brave and outspoken about the murder of children.

Idk what kind of mayor @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social will actually be. He seems like a fun guy with great ideas that he would need the city council or maybe the gov to execute, but I do know that he has no history of groping women or taking bribes. That’s refreshing.
