If you are getting rid of Ring (cause fuck that authoritarian nightmare), might I recommend Wyze Cameras. These can be set up without any sharing outside your local network. You can also divert the RTSP streams and send it to a personal OwnCloud for internet access.

I think the "conservatism" or "MAGA" is far more brain-destroying than the "religious" - Sikhs and a lot of liberal Christians are pretty decent people, but it seems like if you connect conservatism and religion, you get absolute stank garbage.
