OTD: 34 years ago Ukrainians voted in favour of declaring independence. I couldn't vote because I was just starting middle school, but I did wear a vyshyvanka and had a firm belief that all the Moscow-related nonsense would be consigned to the dustbin of history by the time I graduate.🙄

12 y.o. Adriana died in hospital today, the death toll is now 35.
As a kid, living in a block just like that and watching non stop war movies (because that was the only thing on TV) I would often have nightmares like this. Now it's reality for thousands of people *in Europe*.
