Unfortunately for the Democrats, no, you cannot flashmob your way out of a coup.

Is this a good time to discuss that in some countries a “billion” is a thousand million but in others it’s a million million and there’s a really old word for a thousand million that’s “milliard”? Like is it too pedantic? Am I splitting hairs here? You can tell me. We can come back to this later.

Damn, they’re really going to make me, a Latin American, root for the CIA…
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) offered payouts to its entire workforce. The CIA has become the first intelligence agency to offer employees an opportunity to leave their positions in exchange for approximately eight months of pay and benefits.

A reminder that fiction — books, film, games, what have you — is always political. The willful absence of “politics” in any work is itself a political choice and a political act. Who gets to tell (and sell) stories is political. It might be an undercurrent — covert, not overt. But it’s there.

I’m running for Mayor of Orlando because I believe in a future shaped by you.

That’s why I’m launching the Orlando’s Future Survey—a chance for residents, workers, and everyone who cares about our city to share their ideas, priorities, and aspirations.

Pro tip: if you start to get sleepy while reading close to bedtime you can just hold on really tight and pretend to keep reading and you can get a nice little 15-20 minute nap in before your partner goes “wait, did you fall asleep? We should just go to bed.”

I’ve always wished Democrats would reframe “regulations” as “protections.” We regulate companies to protect people from drinking poisoned water or losing their life savings. A subtle semantic change that might make a difference.
"Deregulation" sounds great as a slogan and often enough there are absolutely bad regulations out there, but whooo boy I think we've got some real real dangerous stuff headed our way.
