More than half of Toronto drivers in a Universtiy of Toronto study didn't look for people walking or on bikes before turning right. Study used eye-tracking tech.

Increasingly deadly vehicles, dumb laws, and irresponsible driving equal people being injured and killed.

People keep wondering why they're going after Venezuela. It's because they want to do regime change and control its oil, then use a big tract of land there to keep a tax free "network state" that looks like Dubai but operates like Rhodesia. They are saying this out loud! Believe them!

“If adopted, these changes would mark one of the most significant intersection-safety reforms in Vancouver in years…The City’s own data indicate that conflicts involving right-turns are among the most common types of pedestrian collisions — many occurring when pedestrians cross with a walk signal.”
Vancouver city councillor @lucymaloney.bsky.social has introduced a new Council motion that would get rid of right turns on red lights in the city. Via @dailyhivevancouver.bsky.social

Unquestionably the smart, evidence-based move for EVERYONE’s safety, but especially for people walking & on bikes.

This is a smart move. Too many times pedestrians are victims when drivers are in a hurry, making a right on a red light, especially in #VanCity when it's dark, rainy. @lucymaloney.bsky.social

I am calling for Wilmer’s immediate release from NWIPC—he has NO criminal convictions, he poses no threat to the community, and he urgently needs appropriate medical care since ICE is denying him the treatment he requires.

I am grateful for Wilmer’s willingness to let me share his story.
