Clearly the engineering division was not consulted before posting this draft label. 😂

1 Ms ~= 11.6 Days

Should be ms (1 ms = 0.001 s)

But seriously while not perfect the proposed labeling was far better than what we currently get from ISPs

I'm using the US colloquial meaning here as in the soviet style government intrusion in the free markets taking control of private businesses.
The formal theory by Karl Marx (haven't re-read the manifesto since 9th grade in 1974) is a nice ideal but doesn't scale up to a governmental level.

More proof that the names the current GOP calls Democrats really just reflect what they want to do and are now doing.

It appeared to me that Silverglate changed to wanting to get in on the right-wing cancel culture grift after his wife of over 40 years passed away in 2020. Originally thought it might be an age related issue but now it seems it is just lust for cash. Here's what I wrote about the situation in 2022
I Worry that Mr. Silverglate is Suffering Age Related Mental Issues
Otherwise how can he now no longer believe in freedom of expression for all. As Ken White’s article illustrates it appears that he now believes only his free expression rights matter. So sad …

Nothing is more basic than the right to live in factual reality, rather than required to pretend that someone's obvious lies are real.

This is what Justice Kavanaugh thinks is perfectly OK and a minor inconvenience, actual legal residents treated like criminals because of the color of their skin. #KavanaughStop

This is terrifying!

ICE breaks into this woman’s car in the pick-up line at West Loop Elementary school in Chicago and detains her before she can pick her kids up from school. (They were eventually let go after showing their documents)

This is Trump’s America.

Glad I've never supported the NYT in 66 years now.
Mostly because every time I read an article in somebody else's copy it made me cringe with it's inaccuracies and biases.

you'd think a prominent news outlet like the New York Times might mention that "antifa" isn't an actual organization in a long story about antifa, but nope!

and the subhead helps props up a false claim this professor was up to something seedy as something up for debate
NYT headline: "Rutgers Expert on Antifa Tries to Flee to Spain After Death Threats"

subheadline: "Mark Bray was teaching courses on antifascism. Turning Point USA accused him of belonging to antifa, which he denies. His flight to Spain was canceled abruptly on Wednesday night."

Given that teflon coated pans have been in production for almost 70 years (Tefal) and the current safer ceramic coatings only about 20, time will tell how significant the difference in safety plays out.

you'd think Democrats would realize that effective messaging can shift public opinion and electoral outcomes after watching Republicans wage relentless and super-effective propaganda warfare on the nation's dim electorate for going on five fucking decades

Never forget or forgive that Trump, Rubio, & Musk *chose* to inflict this monumental level of death and suffering on the poorest & most vulnerable people.
Starving children screaming for food as US aid cuts unleash devastation and death across Myanmar
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has repeatedly said “no one has died" because of his government’s decision to gut its foreign aid program.
