Let's see if I can do it properly this year:

P Dot's List Of Shit He's Played/Read/Watched:

1. Yumi and the Nightmare Painter

Ended up reading like 75% of it in a single day, got flashbanged by the postscript mentioning FFX and Hikaru no Go as the main inspirations

With Microsoft announcing their AI plans for future Windows versions, this /v/ comic from 15 years ago got a whole lot more relevant.

Sony has officially announced that PlayStation 6 will run PlayStation 4 games even better than on PlayStation 5.

Getting close to my first ending in Hundred Line and I was not expecting (rot13) Vzn jnyxvat nebhaq va Fverv'f obql
please, microsoft, I can only hold so many reasons to switch to linux
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

Copilot Voice and Vision are now rolling out.

First time people won't mind them getting a substitute voice actor to not have to deal with Jared Leto

It's true, society would collapse if there was an anime girl shortage
Today on "Tales from Twitter", the most egregious misquoting I've seen in quite some time
and, uh, Iunno, if my options for risks I have to put up with are "ranges between being verbally abused in public to getting my places of worship firebombed" and "literally at the center of an international conflict for over 70 years" I might at least try and check if there's an option 3
still thinking about an article I read a couple days ago about someone who felt that Germany is no longer a safe place for Jews (which, I can definitely see some people getting the wrong idea about that conflict) and then in the same article say that they think they'll be much safer in Israel
I could go on, but you get my point, there's like dozens of better RPGs on the DS you should be playing before this one, and after that just about as many, if not more, on the GBA
OR. How Axel is just back again, except for most of the game he pretends he's not through the shittiest disguise known to man and by the end of the game you know as much about what he wants as you always have

OR! How they keep doing the Saturos/Menardi motif worse with every retry
OR how like half of the character designs for your party are just straight up from the previous games

like your initial party is Literally Just Isaac, Literally Just Garet and Jenna With Dyed Hair
or the sudden addition of two new classes of psynergy into the lore without you ever getting access to them

or how the optional superboss was just recycled from The Lost Age

or that stupid fucking psynergy vortex cliffhanger
like who the fuck decided cutting you off from previously visited regions was a good idea, especially if you can fucking MISS SPECIAL SUMMONS THAT WAY

or how they wanted an eight character party so badly your final party member is just a glorified key/exposition dispenser
like I bought The Lost Age together with my first DS off a flea market and I fucking loved that game

then Dark Dawn jumped in and basically fucked up everything I loved about it
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn was probably the most upset a game has ever made me
What's the worst game you finished/rolled credits on?

(games media folks, it can't be something you were assigned to review; this has to be something you subjected yourself to of your own free will)
genuinely good sounding use cases for generative AI: 0

stupid bullshit ideas trying to convince you LLMs are the future but are just kinda flailing their arms and hoping you don't notice: too many to count

Putting this here because it needs to be preserved
really enjoying Hundred Line so far, the cast's surprisingly endearing with how dysfunctional they all are
the only tragic aspect about Ian Watkins' death is that it didn't happen sooner
