Same - and thank you @zackpolanski.bsky.social
for starting to make hope normal again!
The most refreshing, comforting post I’ve seen in 10 years
"You can agree or disagree with him, but Polanski does not pretend to be something he is not.

He is unusually willing for a politician to give a straight answer to questions.

Does he want to rejoin the EU? “Yes."

Amazing!
Things move quickly in politics. The idea of a Sunday broadsheet dedicating it's entire front page to @greenparty.org.uk is huge, and let's be honest, a sign of changing times.

People are sitting up and noticing @zackpolanski.bsky.social

Beautiful 😊
While some of the Goldfinches feed on the teasels below, the greater part of the charm sit in the Ash trees above & preen in the warm glow of the low winter sunlight.
Very large numbers now collecting down by the #weedypond in the late afternoon here.

“They went for pensioners, they went for the disabled, and now they’re going for people fleeing war and conflict. I am furious — this government should hang their heads in shame.”

What a stat!
If more of us choose cycle or ride the bus, was there even a car to begin with?

All we need to know
Labour's vile new policy of confiscating the jewelry and other valuables of asylum seekers has been endorsed by 'Tommy Robinson' and Nigel Farage.

Absolutely
The Greens don’t believe providing safe refuge for endangered asylum seekers is an “out-of-control” policy.

Nor do we believe making life more difficult for those in need is the way to unify British society.

Refugees are welcome.

Wonderful way to save government money!
IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear— it wastes public money to NOT do it.

Yet another reason for electoral reform in the UK
Even a big far-right vote couldn’t give the far-right total control, because the Dutch democracy promotes cooperation.

Here in the UK, just one-third of the vote could give Nigel Farage a huge majority of MPs.

Our democracy isn't fit for 21st-century politics. We need Proportional Representation.

The two main parties got a total of 13% in Caerphilly yesterday

The first-past-the-post system no longer reflects how people vote

We urgently need PR or democracy loses all credibility
