I wanted a book to make me cry. I asked for recommendations and added them to my library holds and bought some too.

At that time I asked, my library finally brought in ‘The Correspondent’ by Virginia Evans. Oh my. Not only is this book told entirely in epistolary style (swoon) it made me cry! 👍❤️

Honestly kind of fitting that this level of catty public breakup between two aging divas is happening during pride month

Don’t like gay marriage?
Don’t get married to the same sex.

Don’t like gender-affirming care?
Don’t have any.

Don’t like Planned Parenthood?
Don’t go there.

Don’t like abortion?
Don’t get one.

Just because *you* don’t like it doesn’t mean *others* shouldn’t be able to it.

I am in deep need / in the mood for a book that will make me cry/sob.

I have already read The Nightingale, A Little Life, etc, etc so I need books beyond the ones that are typically recommended.

I want something that will send me into hiding in my basement to sob in private. Help me #booksky

Canadians didn’t just reject Poilievre—they rejected imported rage, ego politics, and attacks on institutions like the CBC.

We chose unity over chaos.
Truth over slogans.
Canada over clownery.

I feel like some of my reading was dragging me down, not fulfilling my love for reading. I went to my shelves for older #CanLit to help reset my reading.

I cannot say enough of how great it is to be in the hands of the master of the short story.

I’m not a cat person, but these two audiobooks featuring cats on their covers have been some of the best reading I’ve had this year.

It looks like #cats and #audiobooks for the win.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been sent a book by the publisher, but I happily accepted the new Elinor Florence, ‘Finding Flora’.

Good timing since I just finished a book and was looking for a new one! Thank you #Simon&SchusterCanada 🇨🇦 #ElinorFlorence #CanLit
