It’s insane. I even had a fridge supplied in my place and when it broke the management waited two weeks to tell me my lease said they had no obligation to fix it and I had to go buy my own replacement

very funny we had a ~10 year window where idiot "tradcaths" thought they held some sort of cultural grip, only to come to reality that this has been the inevitable arc of the Church if you paid attention to history end/post-Cold War. Even Benedict XVI said "democratic socialism is good, actually"

In the second half against the Broncos, the Eagles threw the ball 23 times and ran just once in the second half, defecating on a 17-point lead they had built up.

The Giants aren't good but the Eagles playcalling is so bad tonight has a good shot to be a masterclass in struggle.

coaches also being the general managers and making draft decisions is also just like...not how football is anymore! Like it really matters they're on the same page but they can't be the same person anymore. It's a very outdated idea.

Right - I think the media reaction to taking Morris over Belichick was, at the time, incredulity. But I personally found the decision to come from SOME sort of basis in Bill's reputation. It had to. And Arthur Blank is not that kind of fool at football.

the great revelation of Belichick's career post-New England is just how many people do not like or even respect this man. He has his clique and everyone else just hates him. Every murmur about why he didn't get the Falcons job gets more reinforcement by the month

Let's be very honest: there's no future for Belichick at any P4 school after this. This hasn't just been an unmitigated disaster, but his crew at UNC trampled a lot of the norms around recruiting in the ACC and he's got no allies in the space.

What exactly is the pitch for anyone hiring Belichick?
