I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

Learned a new word...
Kenning: Kennings are metaphorical compound phrases that replace a single noun, common in Old English poetry, like "whale-road" for sea, "sky-candle" for sun, and "ring-giver" for king, but also appear in modern slang like "bookworm" (for reader) or "tree-hugger".

There was one thing that none of my mentors told me about life in a large bookshop....

The pages of 45000+ books slurp a lot of water out of the air 📚

The humidity in here is currently 25%. When the temperature drops, it can get down to 20%.

Nobody warned me I'd need gallons of moisturizer 🙄

This x 1000.
I shouldn't be shocked, but I'm still always brought up short to realize how many people think "civility" means "white people speaking in relatively calm voices" no matter what vile shit they say.

Well this looks incredible.
The White Reindeer. 1952. Multi award winning Finnish folk fable about a new bride turned shape-shifting vampire by the local shaman. Simply superb.

Friendly reminder to support your local independent bookstore this weekend!

A slightly less friendly reminder to just not buy books from Am*zon at all.
