UK Govt has been sitting on the recommendations, from the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council about Covid in Health Care Workers, for more than 3 years !
Health and care workers worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to care for their patients, yet many were not adequately protected.

Together with the @rcn.org.uk we are calling on the UK Government to take a first step in recognising Long COVID as an occupational disease.

Thank you for really listening to caller @annemarie1.bsky.social & as you succinctly said: "The short termism of prioritising the economy has led to the economy suffering because there have been so many people infected (w Covid) & are now unable to work".

He went in due to a minor fall. He's 91 and has COPD. I offered to put a FFP2 on him but the ambulance staff told me they would do that and everyone at the hospital was masked. This was a lie. The nurses were making mistakes every time I visited. This pattern cannot continue.

And that was the end of an era. X account downloaded and deactivated. Will shortly be gone forever. It was good while it lasted, and I hope I managed some good through it during the pandemic. But I haven’t posted since August and it was time to say goodbye permanently.

NOIDs data today for the last week:

- flu A looks to have peaked but not declining much

- covid leaping up again quite sharply: that should definitely show up clearly on the positivity map this Thursday

The PCR positivity map is out for this week, and you can see the parts of London, Essex and Norfolk that are seeing a surge.

Most other areas look low, and I have an increasing feeling that flu is getting an almost free run this winter.

I think we need to discuss morally questionable societal norms when we have ££ to invest on a full blown advertising campaign for MAID like it’s a free holiday, but aren’t investing the appropriate amount to ££ for research, treatment & support to improve lives of the chronically disabled community
This is an ad from London Underground - clearly designed to inoculate the public against potential horrors of a eugenicist assisted suicide program.

Why is she jumping for joy? Why are we celebrating this?

Why aren’t we acknowledging rapid increase in disabled people means many will be coerced? /1
