Finding no large-scale enforcement action by ICE agents on the street, TikTok creators, who presented themselves as pro-immigrant and anti-deportation, cited reports from “actual Springfield locals” that the groups helping Haitians were refusing them aid. 🤪
TikTokers came to Springfield looking for ICE. Then the child trafficking rumors began.
The conspiracy theories have triggered chaos in the Ohio city, where Haitian immigrant families and the groups working with them are already on edge.

The relief that many Haitians here feel is tempered by an omnipresent dread, one most likely felt in immigrant communities across America as they wait to see which city ICE will surge into next

I spent yesterday reaching out to "creators" — purportedly liberal — about misinformation in their content related to Springfield and its potential impact on community safety. Springfield just closed its schools as of 10:30 today due to safety concerns.

This is why Ohio State's decision to reject removing Leslie Wexner's name from the football facility was so foolish.

There were still millions of pages in the Epstein Files yet to be released, and he was always guaranteed to appear in them.

On Friday, NBC News glazed up Ohio Republican Vivek Ramaswamy as taking a new "real world" focused approach to campaigning.

Later the same day? He took a private jet 100 miles up I-71 from Columbus to see a Cavs game.

The Ohio House will soon vote on a Republican-backed bill that would allow counties, cities and other local governments to block library levies from the ballot. But libraries said voters deserve the right to make the decision on those money issues.

This morning Ohio Senators are in committee deciding on a bill that would throw away valid votes from eligible voters that were mailed on time because of mail delays outside of a voter's control. That's not right.

If this is good public policy, the state should find a way to pay for it and not tax families and young adults.
