New via WSJ: French modeling scout Jean-Luc Brunel was secretly negotiating in 2016 with lawyers representing Epstein's victims, according to DOJ files.

Brunel's lawyer told them his client recruited girls for Epstein and had incriminating photographs.

Then Brunel went dark.

In the concentration camp universe, this is what's known as a filtration camp. A government preemptively takes a whole class of people to interrogate and detain extrajudicially in order to inflict duress on them while arbitrarily assessing their (supposed) culpability.
This is a truly horrifying memo. It says that the policy of the US government will now be to proactively seek out and arrest likely tens of thousands of refugees who entered legally under Biden and subject them to detention, where they will be interrogated about their status.

ah greg, you need to understand that this is just the work of an energetic executive! as john roberts so patiently explained to us, the president needs to be able to dirext the activities of the DOJ to preserve executive authority and separation of powers!
Appalling: During Trump's effort to indict Dems for the video warning against carrying out illegal orders, one of their lawyers asked prosecutors to say what statute was allegedly violated, I'm told. They failed to name one. Then they tried to indict anyway.

I’ve been calling these “antiestablishment” voters and the first time it really hit me was talking with a friend of a friend who flipped from Bernie to Trump in 2016. They wanted an “outsider” as president who would shake up the corruption in both parties. She was an absolute fucking idiot.
Donald Trump won in 2016 and 2024 because anti-system voters flocked to him.

Democrats need a strategy for competing with anti-system voters in 2028.

This is, in some ways, a very strong case for nominating someone like AOC over Newsom.

Increasingly ICE seems to be sending single cars (lots of Subarus) with one agent (some women) to sit in various neighborhood all days. There’s also a belief some may be ICE-contracted bounty hunter types. They’re not as noticeable and it’s not clear what they’re casing, but they’re really lurking.

The documents required are expensive. If voter ID is so extraordinarily necessary, the federal government could spend money to create a free universal proof-of-citizenship card. Why hasn't it?
Perhaps because it's really NOT that necessary? Or because that would help poor people vote?

So, this is happening: ICE in Lawrence, KS. As a father of two biracial kids, I have a giant pit in my stomach.
ICE spotted in Lawrence at the Iowa st. Burger King around 9:10 this morning. Reports I've heard so far (from my dad, who does immigration resettlement work locally) is 3-5 cars, 3 arrests made this morning.

Please share if you're able and be careful out there.
