The first response by law enforcement and security of any failure is where they roll out the old thin blue line, through the usual suspects, where the line is always just wide enough to create a blindfold. The government should make it long enough to hang all the failures at once with.
Very few politicians are willing to state the obvious - a failure of Australia's intelligence apparatus.

ASIO and the security services " asleep at the wheel" again... Why was a person flagged by them allowed to purchase six firearms without any questions being asked ? Of course licensed firearm owners will once again bear the brunt of government ineptitude and media bias, here we go again... 🤔

Ahmed al Ahmed, 43, has been identified as the heroic civilian who disarmed one of the Sydney terrorists. He was shot twice by the second gunman firing from a bridge and is now undergoing surgery for his injuries.
