It is absolutely in the public interest to know what went on; what information he shared and with who,

who benefited from that information (even if he claims he personally did not)

and exactly why he shared it (if he did not benefit personally then why? It makes no sense)
BREAKING: Peter Mandelson just sent this secret notice to all UK media, demanding they leave him alone.

He uses IPSO clauses designed to support grieving families in a bid to stop scrutiny of his relationship with Epstein

We have published it in full.

If you are baffled by why the jury refused to convict the Palestine Action defendants, it's because – unlike them – you didn't hear the actual evidence. You heard what the media wanted you to know.

Here, I explain what the jury learnt from the trial: jonathancook.substack.com/p/barristers...
Barrister's powerful speech at Filton Trial reminds jury of its right to defy judge
Starmer and the media need convictions to justify Palestine Action's proscription as a terrorist group. Rajiv Menon KC spells out to the jury why it is a vital last defence against government tyranny

This is one of the many reasons we need restrictions on overseas political funding, and need the BBC to stop platforming think-tanks who are not transparent about their funding.

3 weeks ago I was leafleting in snow. Last week I was leafleting in rain. Today I was leafleting in sunnies!

Lovely day to be out spreading Green messages. I'm very lucky to be able to leaflet with @mothinali.bsky.social and hear locals telling him the difference a Green Councillor has made to them

A quick reminder of what #BigFebruary is about…
Thanks to the magic of the cosmos, we start gaining daylight much faster in Feb than in Jan. Over 20 mins a week - setting us up for Spring.

At a time when there is so much greed, violence, anger and hatred (and book banning) in parts of the world, it is good to see people donating to causes where they don't and likely will never know the individuals involved but do it just to make things that little bit better for someone else

Great thread about 20-minute* AI courses the govt started promoting today

(I'd prefer some serious upskilling of population in understanding misinformation instead)

*time spent selecting then handing over your details to register for the course clearly NOT included in the course duration
I think I might take one of these "under 20 minutes" AI skills courses the UK Govt. seems very keen on everyone doing and live-post it here... Maybe we can all learn something together! The press release sends me to aiskillshub.org.uk/aiskillsboost/ - let's go and see!

The government claims that AI is 'one-to-one learning support'. It's not. Unless you think that AI is human. Or that kids are robots.
How does AI help you do that?

What exactly are these ‘AI tutors’ that can provide ‘one-to-one’ teaching, and where the evidence they’re in anyway effective?
We want to make sure tutoring isn't the preserve of a lucky few, but accessible to every child who needs it.

AI can help us do that.

Safe, personalised, one-to-one learning support to help every child achieve and thrive.

Bit of a milestone today; 50th pint of blood donated.

Being vegan for a decade doesn't seem to have been a problem.

As a post-donation treat I am having crisps AND biscuits!

While independent bookstores are giving out free whistles, hosting protest sign making events, and donating proceeds to mutual aid, Amazon is *checks notes* providing technology that assists ICE in their terrorizing of communities.

Independent bookstores deserve your support. Amazon does not.

So despite the absolutely vile weather on my dog walk, I reckon my day still started better than for the man who screeched to a halt by the park I was walking in, jumped out of his car and over the fence then squatted next to a tree and did a poo

tremendous thread, enjoying this
A few days ago, I stood in the graveyard of an 1100 year old church, getting damper and damper in the drizzling rain.

A woman walked into the graveyard, waved, said hello, and, as we had previously arranged, handed me a paper bag full of human bones.

The life of a churchwarden is a strange one...

Based on some of those invited, and the convenor's comments about the Nobel prize, surely Bored of Peace is the more appropriate name?
